Has your doctor every prescribed you BUTALBITAL for headaches during pregnancy?
I am 10 weeks pregnant and I have been having head aches almost every day. I told my doctor about the headaches and he prescribed me BUTALBITAL. I have read up on it and it says its not safe for pregnant woman. I am going to stop taking it and just stick with Tylenol. but have yall ever been prescribed this medicine
Why not ask the doctor that prescribed it to you
headaches are normal w pregnancy especially in the beginning i did not take any medicine i just rode it out. no mediciine is safe for the baby. when i had a sore throat i just had honey and no medicine. comn. if you cant handle the headache how are you going to handle the pain in the delivery room.
Yes. I had my first and only migraine (with vomiting) when I was pregnant with twins. Nothing would work so I was prescribed the BUTALBITAL. I guess it depends on how bad you feel, because I would have taken anything the way I was feeling.
And, this has nothing to do with how you'll handle the delivery. It's a different kind of pain. Good luck and hang in there.
I am on it now and have been thru all my pregnancies due to migraines since high school. It will not hurt the baby. All my kids are fine. I am now pregnant with my fifth one.
I have suffered from migraines since I was 7. I was given Butalbital during my pregnancy since about the 3 month. I was getting the migraines about 2-3 times a week through out the entire pregnancy. I had a beautiful baby boy Oct 28th.
